Rebecs was born in a moment of inspiration that snowballed- and now we find ourselves with a studio and online shop.

When Mark and i got together our 1970’s built home was a mash of two homes combined, which included a lot of shabby antique furniture that just looked ridiculous in  a very contemporary setting so what to do? Time for a makeover but what? Shop after shop in the high street was just the same old thing and we were looking for something a bit more individual that reflected our own personal tastes, that's when we discovered Mid Century furniture. A trip halfway across the country to collect a Danish leather sofa and we were hooked! Several more trips culminated in a living space that we loved and is personal to us.

Our inspiration comes mainly from the Danish Designers of the mid 20^th Century, individual pieces of hand crafted furniture fashioned from beautifully warm woods such as teak and the now much sort after Brazilian Rosewood. Danish furniture was still made in small units all across the country right into the 70’s unlike many other countries that were by this time mass producing furniture this can be seen today in the quality and longevity of these elegant pieces. We also have a love affair with some of the iconic British furniture makers of this time, our stock list will nearly always have items from Ercol and E. Gomme (G-plan).

Added to this we have hand picked a great range of new design led home accessories that complement not only our vintage furniture but any contemporary home. As with our furniture our product selection process is the same, Quality, Design and Lifetime Value.
